Welcome to our new and improved spring 2009 issue of Field Notes!
An important part of CAHRC’s mandate is improving access to training and skills development programs in agriculture. In this issue, we will be highlighting some of the activities undertaken to deliver on this mandate.
First, we will introduce you to AgriTalent.ca—an easy-to-use online database linking Canadians to institutions and training providers that offer programs in agriculture. We hope that you will explore this new and exciting tool.
Next, we will invite you to watch a new video called Get AgriCultured, which highlights the link between education and career.
Our newsletter also provides an update on the development of new on-the-job training tools for the ornamental sector, information about new board members, and more.
In the short time that the Council has been around, we have achieved a lot. To find out more about our achievements, I invite you to read our 2008-09 Annual Report.
